if you’re already signed and have a fanbase I don’t think its okay to go on reality television and compete against people who have nothing like…what?
my thing is that: if you’re signed and/or have a fanbase already, why would you WANT to go on a show like The Voice? i didnt like it with dia, either. i think she’s incredibly talented and deserved to win, but i’m not sure she should have been on it in the first place. so the same goes for juliet simms. i understand that that’s sort of part of the premise of the voice— that anyone can go on it and they’re only judged by their voice. and that’s fantastic. except that if i was in a position like dia or juliet simms is in (having a successful music career with fans and albums and tours and shit), i wouldn’t want anything more. and i think it’s selfish to take the spot of someone who’s a nobody and hasn’t had the opportunities you have, yet. you already know you have a great voice. were all the people that came out to see you all summer on warped tour not enough?
